Sources

Where our guidance comes from. We use reliable sources where they genuinely support the content, and we do not build a fake citation library.

What we rely on

  • Official indoor-air and building guidance — public-health and building-science guidance on indoor air quality, ventilation, dampness and odors.
  • Manufacturer material-care guidance — for carpet, upholstery, paint, sealant and cabinetry care and cleaning.
  • Official safety guidance — on gas, fuel, electrical and chemical hazards, and on not mixing cleaning chemicals.
  • HVAC references — on coil, drain, blower and duct hygiene, cross-referenced with DubaiACDuctCleaning.com.
  • Moisture and mold guidance — where a musty odor is moisture-related, cross-referenced with MoldRemovalDubai.com.
  • BioSweep field experience — what the odor and indoor-environment team encounters on UAE inspections, used to keep the practical detail locally accurate.

What we do not do

We do not cite sources we have not used, invent standards or registrations, or reference lab results, air testing or species identification that has not been carried out. Where a claim would need a specific product approval or treatment-chemistry reference that has not been confirmed, we use neutral wording such as “professional odor-treatment approach” or “source-focused odor treatment” instead.

Corrections

If you believe a statement on the site is not well supported, let us know and we will review it.

Still Cannot Find the Source?

Describe where the smell is strongest and when it appears, and send a photo of any stained or damp material. BioSweep can advise whether it is an odor, moisture, HVAC or plumbing problem — and whether source cleaning may be enough.
